77% of NHS workforce is women

Gender roles have undergone a massive overhaul in recent years, and this can clearly be seen in new figures from the NHS. Women form the majority of the NHS workforce, especially in non-clinical roles, as females occupy 81% of the NHS’s non-medical staff. More women are now in full time employment, with two thirds working longer hours, including the 83% of medical and dental staff who put in an additional 30 hours or more.
