For many of us, our GP is our first point of contact when we are feeling unwell or under the weather, so it is often one of the key services under scrutiny. Figures from last December however paint a positive picture of the UK’s GP service, with 86% of patients labeling their experience as ‘good’ Listening was ranked highly with 88% of patients claiming they felt they were heard by their GP, with 55% of patients having a preferred GP. The data also looked at general practice management, which also runs smoothly as 86% could get an appointment, with 74% of callers finding it easy to get through to reception. 76% of patients also said that the practice opening times were convenient for their schedules.
