She is known for being an outspoken critic of the health board. At the Highland council’s education, care and adult services committee yesterday she announced concerns over the management of adult care provision in the NHS Highland.

The adult care service sector of NHS Highland has been facing an increased amount of criticism since it was transferred from the NHS Highland.

Her remarks were taken onboard at the meeting where the document outlining planned provision for adult care services was being considered. The document was intended to oversee the NHS Highland’s adult care services until 2017.

However, Mrs Davidson said she was concerned that the plan was still only a draft – despite being “halfway through” an initial five year spell. She continued, ‘If the NHS doesn’t know what they are going to do over the next two and half years then that’s not good enough.

Everything that is in the report can be simplified down to what are we going to do?’

In addition to this, she reminded councillors that partnership working would be vital as the the NHS moves forward.
