Urgent Care - PICU - Cedar Ward Assessment and treatment of patients presenting with acute mental health problems. Mental Health Act related work Will be in charge of 7-10 patients on the ward and will have two junior doctors that they need to supervise. There will be seclusion reviews in addition to formulation/ treatment reviews/ medico-legal work in the form of reports and Tribunals. There is an expectation they work closely with acute inpatient colleagues/ Senior managers/ Bed managers to facilitate a seamless transition of patients across and moving from PICU to acute inpatient/ rehab/ forensic wards. Northallerton Crisis Team Will accept a S12 SD or a Consultant Service provision in capacity of speciality doctor with Sec 12 approval or a consultant grade for adult crisis mental health team. This will include leading the team, advising leadership team, supporting decision making, medication reviews and follow ups for patients in crisis, prescribing, formulating with MDT support, guiding the MDT, nurses and +/- junior doctor. The doctor will be expected to be an effective team member, attending relevant meetings, liaising with ward, internal and external agencies, other mental health teams and GPs if needed for the benfit of patients.
