Urgent Care – PICU – Cedar Ward
Assessment and treatment of patients presenting with acute mental health problems. Mental Health Act related work
Will be in charge of 7-10 patients on the ward and will have two junior doctors that they need to supervise. There will be seclusion reviews in addition to formulation/ treatment reviews/ medico-legal work in the form of reports and Tribunals. There is an expectation they work closely with acute inpatient colleagues/ Senior managers/ Bed managers to facilitate a seamless transition of patients across and moving from PICU to acute inpatient/ rehab/ forensic wards.
