Why have you chosen to register with The Locum Agency? *

Flexibility and choice they are providing. I am free to manage my work schedule with my daily routine. They also provide me a choice when and where to work.

Tell me about a recent occasion when you were under pressure and handled it successfully. - What was the situation? - What actions did you take? - What was the outcome?

I am conducting classes twice weekly for the physical fitness, social interaction and emotional wellbeing of the young girls of my local community. These gatherings are very comfortable, exciting and enjoyable for all the girls we have different physical, mental games and activities, all the girls enjoyed them a lot and eagerly wants to attend. but there is a girl among them who remained isolated doesn’t want to take part in activities. When I asked her she answered me that I don’t want to come because I find it boring and doesn’t want to socialise with other girls. Then I asked her what she wants me to do. I can arrange anything which she likes to play or activity in which she wanted to take part. I also spoke with her mother and asked her about her behaviour at home which was normal. Then I tried to became friend with her and slowly I convinced her to be a part of the social gatherings and all the activities we performed. Now she is comfortable with environment and the other girls.

You are asked to prescribe medication which is not clearly documented within the patients notes and medical record. What should you do?

Thinking about a recent difficult situation you’ve had with patient’s relatives – How did you handle this and the outcome

It was not the recent but the most difficult situation I have ever faced in my career. A patient came in ER with renal encaphlopathy. His sons and wife were very emotional and anxious about the patient’s health and it was their 1st ever experience to a hospital and they were completely unaware of the patient’s condition. Because of the renal failure the patient needs dialysis but his family was not keen for the dialysis because of their less understanding about renal failure and dialysis. Being the part of the team It was my duty to sit with the consultant nephrologist, junior doctor, ER representative and a pharmacist to communicate with the family about patient’s condition and his prognosis it was the one of the most difficult families we ever met with. We sit with them and did multiple meetings and tried to convince them for the dialysis. At last after multiple communication sessions with the family they became able to understand that it’s all about the good prognosis of the patient.
