I worked in a community pharmacy from 24th September 2018 to 21st June 2023. I worked as an apprenticeship when I first started then worked my way up to a Medical counter assistant and leaving as a dispenser and a vaccinator. I then worked as an estate agent at Connells estate agent from 7th August 2023 to 19th October 2023. I have been unemployed since.

Tell me about a recent occasion when you were under pressure and handled it successfully. - What was the situation? - What actions did you take? - What was the outcome?

During the Covid-19 vaccination, we had queues of about a 50 people every 30 mins. Myself and one other vaccinator was on the premises to administrate the vaccines at the time. It was quite overwhelming seeing huge queues but I handled this by distributing cards that had 1-100. This turned out to be very successful

What is your understanding of the Medicines Act 1968?

The 1968 Act provided a system of licensing for manufacturing and dealing in medicines. Some exemptions were included for certain persons, mainly to facilitate good healthcare in relation to medicines.

You are asked to prescribe medication which is not clearly documented within the patients notes and medical record. What should you do?

Liaise with the pharmacist to see what the best options are, or check the patients SCR records, if nothing get in touch with the patients GP.

What steps would you take, going forward if you become aware of an incident or complaint, which you were involved or implicated in?

Do not retaliate. Take note of the date, time and place and inform the investigator as soon as possible. Explain. If the complaint does proceed to the formal stage you should be given the opportunity to explain your version of events, include witnesses and any material evidence.

Clinical governance may be defined as 'the framework through which healthcare organisations are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their services and safeguarding high quality of care'.

Thinking about a recent difficult situation you’ve had with patient’s relatives – How did you handle this and the outcome

Understand where they are coming from and listen carefully. I tried to identify the cause of the problem and maintain professionalism. Understanding them and being in an environment where they can be comfortable is also key. This make the patient relative feel like they can open up more. This went very well by doing so.
