Tell me about a recent occasion when you were under pressure and handled it successfully. - What was the situation? - What actions did you take? - What was the outcome? | I have been managing the advanced practice MSc trainee progress reviews and funding applications, these have strict deadlines for information to be collated across a large region. This involves checking that applicants are eligible and having sometimes difficult conversations if they are not followed by a coaching career conversation to aid them in preparing for re-applying in the next funding window so that they would be eligible. |
What is your understanding of the Medicines Act 1968? | It defines the legal classes of medicines i.e., P - Pharmacy only sales Each class of medicine has legal implications on how it can be supplied. |
You are asked to prescribe medication which is not clearly documented within the patients notes and medical record. What should you do? | I am not a prescriber so would not prescribe any medicines. I would speak to the patient to collate their medication history from them to see if it is identified their and then asking probing questions on to how they are supplied this and record it on the patient notes/medical history. |
What steps would you take, going forward if you become aware of an incident or complaint, which you were involved or implicated in? | I would make sure it is reported as per the local SOP and give a clear an honest account of my involvement along with reflections on how it happened and escalate this as per the local SOP. |
