Deputy Ward Manager (Clinical) within a private establishment treating Eating disorders

Duties:

Responsible for complete operational management of the site in regards to the Nursing Team.

Day to day oversight of staffing, resources, roster management and workforce planning.

Provide supervision, professional development and promotion of staff well-being.

Participates with the “on call” responsibility working within a rotational basis, alongside other colleagues.

Providing a high standard of care to people with Addictions and ED

Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement

Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice

Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress

Recruitment of Nursing Team and potential involvement with other recruitment.

Experience required:

3+ years Nursing experience

Experience working with Eating Disorder and Addictions is desirable

Extensive clinical and management experience

Fine tuned decision making skills

Effective organisational capability

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Enthusiastic and motivated with a strong “can do” attitude

A role model to other staff – providing advice and support to promote good practice

Encourage team members to expand, develop their own competencies

Strong ability to work under pressure is essential
